Q. What recreation programs are available for individuals with disabilities, and how can I find out where are they are located in Baltimore County?
A. The Office of Therapeutic Recreation Services and the Community Recreation Offices offer a wide variety of programs. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to participate in all Department programs throughout Baltimore County. Please contact your Community Recreation Office for a listing of their programs. The Office of Therapeutic Recreation Services produces a newsletter, Leisure Resources, highlighting programs specifically designed for individuals with disabilities. Leisure Resources is produced twice a year with Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter issues. The current issue is on the web page or you may call the TR office for information or a copy (410-887-5370 TTD/Deaf 410-887-5319).

A. Auxiliary aids and services are available to ensure full participation in all recreation and parks programs. Reasonable accommodations are made on an individual basis. Q. What are some of the accessible parks located in Baltimore County?
A. Efforts are underway to make all county parks and recreational facilities as fully accessible as possible. There are, however, some of major parks and facilities in Baltimore County that have undergone renovations to provide access to individuals with disabilities.

Q. What Summer Camp opportunities does the Department of Recreation and Parks provide for individuals with disabilities?
A. Numerous opportunities are provided for individuals with disabilities.
- Fifteen summer day camps designed for youth with disabilities ages 5–21 operate for five weeks at locations throughout Baltimore County. The camps typically operate Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- "All Children First" a residential camp, operates two one-week sessions at the Claggett Center in Frederick County, Md. This camp is designed for children who are entering grades 4–8 and have Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Attention Deficit Disorders.
- The Performing Arts Camp, a day camp with a theater arts focus, is for children with or without disabilities ages 6 and older. The camp meets at the North Point Government Center, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for five weeks.
