The citizens of Baltimore County utilize over 12,500 acres of public recreation areas at over 900 parks, community centers and school-recreation centers, with more than 400 ball diamonds and athletic fields, 300 courts and thousands of other amenities. The responsibility for maintaining these facilities falls primarily to two public agencies, the Department of Recreation and Parks and Baltimore County Public Schools . You may refer to this web page to determine which agency is responsible for many major maintenance items.
