Q. Who do I call if I want a traffic signal or stop sign placed at an intersection?

A.
If a resident or a community wishes to have a traffic signal or traffic signs placed in their neighborhood, our
Traffic Engineering division will assess the existing traffic needs to determine exactly what type of device is needed. Call 410-887-3554.

Q. Who do I call if I want the timing of a signal changed?

A.
If the timing of a signal at a County intersection seems to long (or too short), call 
Traffic Engineering at 410-887-3554 to request that the timing be changed.  An assessment will be made of the traffic flow to determine if the change can be made.

Q. Who do I contact to report a street light outage?

A.
 Street light outages may be reported by calling 410-685-0123 or 1-800-685-0123 or this can be done online.  Most streetlights in Baltimore County are maintained by
BGE.

Q. Who do I contact to request additional street lighting or upgrading of existing street lighting?

. Requests of this type require that the majority of the residents affected by the additional lighting sign a petition. Petitions may be obtained by accessing our
Street Light Petition Form (PDF) or by calling 410-887-3554.
