Interactive maps are applications available using internet map service (IMS) technology. IMS technology allows web users to access the same map data used by county agencies and departments. IMS applications allow the user to display and query map data. The applications contain base maps and thematic maps. The capabilities of IMS are limited, so not all data is available through the web.
The applications available provide access to a specific set of data and tools. All applications display the county digital orthophotos (aerial image) as a base map. On-line help is provided for each application.
My Neighborhood provides location and general information about facilities in the County. The general information provided about a particular facility may include facility name, address, contact information and links to a site-specific web site. For example, My Neighborhood shows the location of fire stations, police stations, schools, libraries, and senior centers.
Community Crime Profile provides Uniform Crime Reporting Standards. Crime totals provided in the application represent the average number of criminal offenses reported over the most recent 3-year period. The crime statistics are updated quarterly.
Find Tile provides information that assists users to determine which data tiles are in their area of interest. The County's data is tiled to provide the information in a manageable file size.
